Everything You Need to Know About HIH at COP30

In Belém, Brazil, between November 10th and 21st, 2025, Health In Harmony will attend COP30, a crucial moment and platform for advancing Indigenous rights, climate justice, and planetary health.

At this year’s climate conference, our delegates will participate in over a dozen events, focusing on building and sharing the evidence for community-designed, holistic solutions that regenerate ecosystems while improving local health and resilience.

Amidst climate shocks, rising temperatures and a global landscape of political unrest, we carry the message that a solution for the polycrises of climate, biodiversity and public health already exists: shifting power, authority, and finance into the hands of rainforest guardians and their planetary health solutions.

COP30 (COP of Action) is an unprecedented opportunity to shift the conversation toward direct access for communities and recognize the intersectionality of health, climate, and biodiversity in solutions. In line with these priorities, Health In Harmony’s COP30 advocacy goals are:

  1. Demand fair and direct access for climate and biodiversity finance resources.

  2. Uphold Indigenous and Human rights and self-determination as foundations of planetary health.

  3. Showcase evidence and pathways to operationalize planetary health for systems transformation.

  4. Recognize Storytelling as evidence and strategy.

  5. Increase the visibility, influence and network of HIH Global and SAMA-HIH.
