Heljye is a part-time Grant Writer at Health In Harmony, where she supports the development of high-quality proposals and reports. She works closely with the Programs, Research, and Finance teams to translate indigenous rainforest community-led solutions, along with associated health and conservation data, into compelling grant applications.

Heljye is deeply committed to people and communities and has spent nearly 15 years in the international development arena securing multimillion-dollar institutional grants for food security, conservation, global health, and peacebuilding programs across Sub-Saharan Africa and South America.

Heljye loves beading in her spare time. She also volunteers with CAP EduPro, the nonprofit she founded to help young people in West Africa succeed academically and find fulfilling jobs.
