Hanneke is a drug discovery scientist and former board member / current ambassador of Health In Harmony. Her purpose is to nurture imagination and innovation for health, a commitment that fuels all her endeavors.

Hanneke joined the Health In Harmony board because the organization’s mission and values resonated strongly with her purpose, on multiple levels. First is the premise that there is no human health without planetary health. Second is Health In Harmony’s innovative model of Radical Listening, which centers the expertise of rainforest communities and supports community-designed solutions for conservation, livelihoods, education, and health. Third is the commitment to learn from climate data and science to measure impact. And fourth is the organization’s willingness to imagine—and act on—the possibility that humanity can change course on the climate crisis.

As a current ambassador, Hanneke continues to support Health In Harmony so that its imagination and innovation can continue to advance health—for people, forests, and the planet.
