Mission
 Health in Harmony supports an innovative program in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, that partners with local communities to integrate high quality, affordable health care with strategies to protect the threatened rain forest.

Vision

Activities
Health In Harmony is actively seeking support for a new project in Indonesia called Alam Sehat Lestari (ASRI) The long version translates: Healthly Nature Everlasting and ASRI means beautiful and harmoniously balanced. This program is providing medical care, and medical training, while at the same time preserving the natural environment through creative incentives for local communities, awareness raising, and ecologically-sustainable community development. The project is located around Gunung Palung in West Kalimantan, Borneo which is a beautiful but threatened National Park. In conjunction with the local government and communities, this program is working to:

  1. Provide high-quality, affordable health care to the people of West Kalimantan, ultimately establishing a teaching hospital to train others to replicate this work throughout Indonesia
  2. Rehabilitate and conserve the natural environment
  3. Foster environmentally sustainable economic development opportunities, thus enabling individuals to pay for their health care and create viable alternatives to the pressures that threaten the natural environment.
Within the United States, Health In Harmony is recruiting volunteers, seeking donations of medical supplies and equipment, securing financial resources, and raising awareness of the needs of poor communities living among threatened environments. We invite you to participate in this work by supporting this work financially, volunteering, or donating equipment or supplies.

Donations to Health In Harmony help develop innovative human and environmental health programs that save lives, preserve rainforest habitat, and inspire new solutions to critical problems facing our world.
